The Ouray Film Sabbatical, a four-day fully funded residency, is set to take place from January 7-10, 2027, in Ouray, Colorado. This initiative, a spinoff of the Ouray International Film Festival, aims to provide filmmakers with a space for rest and community
engagement. Applications for the sabbatical are open until October 5, 2026. The program is designed to support mid-career film professionals by offering a break from the industry's demands, allowing them to connect with peers and reflect on their creative journeys. The sabbatical includes morning check-ins, group meals, and excursions, fostering a supportive environment for participants.
