What's Happening?
Casi, a musical duo consisting of Enumclaw bassist Eli Edwards and Xay Young, has released their self-titled debut album through Carpark Records. The album is a blend of punk, hip-hop, emo, and nü metal, reflecting the duo's diverse musical influences
and their long-standing friendship. The album's tracks, such as 'JUMPER,' are inspired by real-world events, including ICE raids in Los Angeles, which prevented the duo from performing their first show in the city. The album captures the duo's personal experiences and societal observations, with themes ranging from personal struggles to broader social issues. The duo's creative process involved file-sharing and in-person collaborations, despite geographical distances, as Edwards relocated to Los Angeles while Young remained in Washington.
