Anna Alvin, a native of Beaver Dam, was inducted into the Ripon College Athletic Hall of Fame this past summer. Alvin was a dominant offensive player for the Red Hawks volleyball team throughout her four seasons, leading the team in kills each year. Her
career highlights include three All-Conference selections, with one First Team and two Second Team honors. In her senior year in 2010, she was named the Midwest Conference (MWC) Player of the Year, recording 130 more kills than any other player in the conference. That same year, she ranked 22nd across all of NCAA Division III in both kills per set and points per set. Alvin's performance also placed her senior campaign as the third-highest single-season kill total in program history, and her 2009 junior season as the sixth-highest. Beyond offense, she was a strong defensive player, achieving the fifth-most career blocks in Ripon history. She concluded her collegiate career with 1,323 total kills, ranking third all-time at Ripon and remaining in the top thirty of the entire Midwest Conference record books over fifteen years later. In 2011, she received the Samuel N. Pickard Award as Ripon’s top senior female athlete.
