What's Happening?
Riverside Resources Inc., in partnership with Questcorp Mining Inc., has completed significant geophysical programs at the La Union Project in Sonora, Mexico. The initiatives included an aeromagnetic drone survey and an Induced Polarization (IP) ground
geophysics survey. These surveys aim to enhance the current drilling efforts by providing detailed data on potential mineral targets. The aeromagnetic survey covered 248 km and the IP survey consisted of five lines, both contributing to a comprehensive understanding of the project's geological framework. The data is expected to aid in identifying new drilling targets and expanding existing ones, particularly in areas like Union, Union North, and Jabali. Riverside Resources is actively using this information to guide their ongoing Phase 2 drilling, focusing on discovering high-grade gold and base metals.
Why It's Important?
The completion of these geophysical programs is crucial for Riverside Resources and Questcorp as it enhances their ability to identify and target mineral-rich areas more effectively. This development could lead to significant discoveries of gold and base metals, potentially increasing the project's value and attracting further investment. The integration of advanced geophysical data into the exploration process exemplifies the growing importance of technology in mining, allowing companies to make more informed decisions and optimize resource extraction. Success at the La Union Project could bolster Riverside's portfolio and strengthen its position in the mining industry.
