Triso-X, a subsidiary of X-Energy, has been awarded an $11 million grant from the state of Tennessee to support the development of its nuclear fuel fabrication campus in Oak Ridge. This funding is part of Tennessee's nuclear energy supply chain investment
fund, aimed at expanding the state's nuclear manufacturing ecosystem. The campus will include multiple facilities designed to produce Triso-X fuel, a robust nuclear fuel form for high-temperature gas-cooled reactors. The project is expected to establish one of the world's largest commercial-scale nuclear fuel fabrication campuses, capable of supporting approximately 55 advanced small modular reactors.
