What's Happening?
TomaGold has commenced an audio-frequency magnetotelluric (AMT) geophysical survey at its Berrigan Mine project in the Chibougamau Mining Camp, Québec. The project spans 16 claims over 483 hectares and is located near Chibougamau. The survey aims to improve
understanding of the area's structural layout and identify deep conductive pathways associated with known mineralized zones. This initiative follows a phase two drilling program and is part of a larger geophysical effort that began in May 2026. The survey covers a grid of 14 lines with stations every 25 meters, totaling 7.5 kilometers. AMT is a deep-penetrating technique that records changes in the Earth's electric and magnetic fields, helping to identify features that may host mineralization.
Why It's Important?
The AMT survey represents a critical step in TomaGold's exploration strategy at the Berrigan Mine project. By enhancing the understanding of the structural architecture and identifying new conductive corridors, the survey could lead to the discovery of additional mineralization and high-priority exploration targets. This could significantly increase the project's value and attract further investment. The survey's results will complement ongoing drilling and geophysical programs, potentially unlocking the broader potential of TomaGold's assets in the Chibougamau area. Successful exploration could have positive economic implications for the region, including job creation and increased mining activity.
