Nintendo has rolled out a new system update, version 22.5.0, for the Nintendo Switch 2, marking the first update since April 2026. This update introduces several enhancements aimed at improving user experience, including general system stability improvements
and the addition of Dutch and Russian language support for 'Text to Speech' and 'Change Speech ↔ Text During GameChat' features. Additionally, the Nintendo eShop layout has been redesigned to reflect the theme color set in System Settings, and a User-Verification PIN can now be used for accessing the eShop and using saved payment methods. The update also allows users to rewind or advance videos by 10 seconds using the ZL and ZR buttons. Furthermore, a new Nintendo Music update adds 'Free Roam' songs from the Mario Kart World soundtrack, featuring tracks from the Super Mario Bros. series.
