What's Happening?
The Bertolet Memorial Library in Leaf River is organizing an End of Summer Bash on August 6, 2026, at 11 a.m. The event aims to provide a fun-filled day for the community, featuring outdoor bubble stations by Absolute Science, where participants can create
large, long-lasting bubbles using a variety of wands. Following the bubble activities, attendees will be treated to a free hot dog lunch, complete with chips and a drink, and snow cones will be available afterward. The library is also promoting its July Book of the Month, 'Shelterwood' by Lisa Wingate, and offering a Take & Make Craft option, allowing participants to choose from various unclaimed craft kits. Additionally, the library encourages patrons to check out gently used puzzles and participate in the 'Road Trip With a Book' challenge, celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States by reading a book set in each of the 50 states.
