Three members of the University of the Incarnate Word men's golf team have been recognized as NCAA Division I Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars. The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced that Thomas Chalk, Francisco Taboada, and Joel Talusen
received this prestigious academic honor for the 2025-2026 season. To qualify for this recognition, student-athletes must be sophomores, juniors, or seniors, participate in at least 50% of their team's competitive rounds, maintain a stroke average under 76.0, and uphold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2. This accolade marks the second academic honor for these athletes this season, as they were also named to the Southland All-Academic Team. Notably, this is Chalk's second consecutive year receiving the Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar distinction.
