What's Happening?
West Virginia University, in collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon University, and over 60 regional partners, will lead the Resilient Energy Technology and Infrastructure (RETI) Consortium. The consortium has been awarded up
to $160 million over the next decade by the National Science Foundation to develop innovative technologies addressing the nation's energy needs. The funding is expected to generate 21,000 jobs, 150 startups, and over $1 billion in economic growth for the region. RETI will focus on research and development, translation to practice, workforce development, and community engagement.
