What's Happening?
Hilton has announced a new partnership with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America (BBBSA) aimed at providing young people with mentorship and exposure to career paths in the hospitality industry. As part of this initiative, Hilton will donate 250 million
Hilton Honors Points to BBBSA, marking its largest-ever charitable Points donation. This donation will facilitate transformative travel experiences for BBBSA's youth participants, known as 'Littles,' and their families across the United States. The partnership will create over 10,000 mentoring moments in six U.S. cities during the 2026-2027 school year. These experiences are designed to build confidence, expand perspectives, and open doors to new opportunities for young people.
Why It's Important?
This partnership addresses the opportunity gap faced by approximately 4.3 million young Americans aged 16-24 who are neither in school nor employed. By combining mentorship with career exposure in the hospitality sector, Hilton and BBBSA aim to provide these young individuals with the skills and confidence needed to pursue meaningful careers. The initiative not only supports personal development but also contributes to economic mobility and the broader goal of ensuring the American dream remains attainable for future generations. Hilton's commitment to mentorship and career development reflects its role as a leader in creating pathways to success within the hospitality industry.
What's Next?
Starting in the 2026-2027 school year, BBBSA participants will engage in structured development experiences at Hilton properties and corporate locations. These experiences will include monthly mentoring sessions, skill-building activities, and immersive career exploration. The program is set to expand nationwide, with the potential to deepen its impact over time. Hilton team members will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting the Littles, helping them to envision and achieve their career aspirations. The partnership is expected to foster long-term relationships and create a scalable model for future initiatives.
