What's Happening?
NASA has selected 41 proposals from 37 American companies to advance technologies that support the agency's goals of establishing a long-term presence on the Moon and enabling human exploration of Mars. These selections are part of NASA's 2025 Announcement
of Collaboration Opportunity (ACO), which aims to mature technologies for space transportation, planetary surface operations, and lunar surface infrastructure. The initiative involves partnerships between NASA and industry without the exchange of funds, allowing companies to leverage NASA's facilities, software, hardware, and expertise. Since the first ACO in 2015, NASA has supported over 110 projects, with the current agreements estimated to be worth $30 million in agency resources, complemented by $32 million in industry contributions.
