The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) has suspended Russian tennis player Anastasia Sukhotina for breaching anti-corruption rules. Sukhotina, who reached a career-high singles ranking of 607, admitted to eight breaches of the rules, including
betting on tennis and corrupting other players. Her suspension will last for four years and ten months, and she has been fined $30,000. Separately, Azerbaijan Davis Cup captain Yalchin Manafli has been provisionally suspended for refusing to cooperate with an investigation. Manafli's appeal against the suspension was dismissed, and he is barred from participating in any events organized by major tennis associations.
