ISE Laboratories, a tech company specializing in semiconductor device testing and part of the Taiwan-based Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE), has acquired two office and research buildings in North San Jose. The deal, finalized on August 28 and recorded
with the Santa Clara County Recorder’s Office, involved a combined purchase price of $29.5 million. The acquired properties include a 52,400-square-foot building at 1140 Ringwood Court and a 28,000-square-foot building at 1150 Ringwood Court. This acquisition marks a significant expansion for ISE Laboratories in the San Jose area, building on its previous investment in 2023 when it purchased an office and research building at 2201 Qume Drive for $24 million. The company, which also operates in Fremont with approximately 200 employees, had previously indicated plans to employ hundreds in San Jose when it opened its first office there in 2024. ASE's CEO, Tien Wu, affirmed the company's commitment to investment in Silicon Valley in 2024.
