Nearly a year after they released their fifth album, Bones, North Carolina alt-rockers Rainbow Kitten Surprise made their way to New York City’s Terminal 5 for the third stop on the Rolling Stone Rock Tour, presented by Miller High Life. Led by Ela Melo’s

arresting vocals, the band ran the gamut of their discography, including their greatest hits, acoustic fan favorites, and highlights from Bones.

Los Angeles-based band Common People opened the evening and warmed the crowd up for RKS’ arrival, and even played their upcoming single “Shapeshift” to a buzzing audience. When Rainbow Kitten Surprise appeared and opened the evening with their 2018 song “Pacific Love,” they sustained that high for the next 90 minutes, until their closed with their 2018 megahit “It’s Called: Freefall,” which brought the house down.
