John Mayer is returning to Las Vegas’ Sphere in 2027, but this time as a solo act. The seven-time Grammy Award
winner just announced a residency at the iconic Sin City venue running from April through June next year. Ticket prices are unsurprisingly through the roof, but our editors have found ways to score deals on these hot stubs.
While the general sale is happening through Ticketmaster, third-party resale sites — which are completely legal and offer money-back guarantees — still have plenty of inventory. Some even come with exclusive Rolling Stone discount codes, so you can save even more.
At a Glance: How to Buy Tickets to John Mayer Live at Sphere
- General sale: Ticketmaster
- Best prices: StubHub, SeatGeek, Vivid Seats, TicketNetwork
- Residency dates: April 8 to June 5, 2027
Mayer was originally set to perform just a handful of shows at Sphere in April, but, presumably thanks to overwhelming demand, the residency has now been extended by an additional two months. While Mayer will perform alone (with the exception of his band), he’s taken the Sphere stage numerous times before with Dead & Company. The group enjoyed a successful run at the venue, playing a total of 48 shows in 2024 and 2025.
And if you’re in Connecticut today and can make it to Mohegan Sun before 8 p.m., Mayer is also performing at Mohegan Sun Arena tonight in honor of the casino’s 30th birthday celebration. While that’s a tight turnaround for an event, other artists are also taking the stage for the festivities, and you can still buy tickets to those acts here.
Fans attending Mayer’s upcoming Sphere shows can hopefully expect to hear some of his most popular songs alongside newer hits. The last time Mayer released an album was in 2021, with Sob Rock. In a review of the record, Rolling Stone writer Keith Harris said Mayer “sings like a man who knows his place in the world.”

Or there’s always the option of sending this article to your dad and asking him to buy you tickets. After all, fathers are supposed to be good to their daughters…
EDITOR'S PICK
StubHub
Right now on StubHub, the earlier show dates tend to be the most expensive. If possible, try holding out for a June performance, when ticket prices can drop as low as $201 each. Another tip? Aim for a weekday show, as these performances are usually more cost-effective.
GREAT DEALS
SeatGeek
We like SeatGeek as a third-party ticketing platform because it makes it easy to compare prices across show dates. You don’t have to click through each listing to figure out what fits your budget; the costs are all right there, helping you make a quick decision before tickets sell out.
GRAB DISCOUNTS
VividSeats
If you’re looking for an exclusive discount code, Vivid Seats is the place to turn. You can use the Rolling Stone code RS30 to get $30 off orders over $300 — and with tickets to this residency, you’ll likely hit that minimum without much trouble.
GET PROMO CODES
TicketNetwork
Want even more ways to save on seeing John Mayer live at Sphere? No problem. Readers can take $150 off orders of $500 or more with code RS150, or save $300 on orders of $1,000 or more with code RS300.
