Bon Jovi is back, and the band kicked off the first night of its Forever tour with a cover of The Beatles’ “With
a Little Help From My Friends,” hewing more closely to the Joe Cocker rendition than the original Ringo Starr vocals.
It was a fitting opening number for the band, which had been sidelined as lead singer Jon Bon Jovi recovered from vocal cord surgery. And while it’s being billed as a tour, it’s more akin to a residency, with the band performing a whopping nine dates at Madison Square Garden in July 2026. The band will then head to the UK and Ireland for a short run of dates through August and September.

As expected, the band tore through its classics for the opening night of the tour, including “It’s My Life” and “Livin’ on a Prayer” back-to-back midway through the set, according to Setlist.fm. Ahead of the tour, Bon Jovi said, “I’m fully recovered. It was longer than I’d ever expected, but it had to be right. We never lost faith.” Speaking of faith, the band closed out its opening night set with “Keep the Faith” from the album of the same name, before the three-song encore featuring “I’ll Be There for You,” “Wanted Dead or Alive,” and “Bad Medicine.”
