A great day at the tournament starts with a smooth arrival. Parking passes must be purchased online in advance and are not sold on-site. General parking is located at the FedEx Headquarters on Hacks Cross Road, with shuttles running to the course. Passes
are digital, so have them ready on your phone. For an even easier option, use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. The designated drop-off and pick-up area is conveniently located near the course entrance between the No. 1 green and No. 2 tee. Gates open at 7 a.m. from Wednesday to Sunday, and arriving early allows you to watch players warm up on the practice range and get a feel for the course before the crowds build.
Navigate the Course Like a Pro
Once you're through the gates, your first stop should be for a course map, available at hubs near the 1st green and 18th green. Better yet, download the PGA TOUR App, which includes a Smart Map to help you find amenities, fan zones, and even route you around congested areas. The tournament offers complimentary Wi-Fi, making it easy to use the app and follow the live leaderboard. Take a few minutes to identify the locations of restrooms, concessions, and first-aid stations. The entire property is now cashless, so you'll need a credit or debit card for all purchases.
Find the Best Viewing Spots
TPC Southwind offers a variety of fantastic places to watch the action. For a signature experience, head to the famed par-3 11th hole, a dramatic island green where you can see players face a nerve-wracking tee shot. Another top spot is around the 18th green, where the tournament can be won or lost. The course provides complimentary public bleachers with shaded seating at holes 1, 11, 14, and 16. For a more relaxed vibe, check out The Dock on hole 14, where you can watch from Adirondack chairs by the water. Decide if you want to “camp out” at a popular hole to see every group play through or follow your favorite player for their entire round.
Eat, Drink, and Experience the Vibe
This year, every ticket is a Grounds+ ticket, which includes unlimited non-alcoholic beverages and complimentary food at designated market-style concession stands. For more specialized local flavor, you can purchase Memphis classics like BBQ nachos from The Commissary at The Pit or grab a Pronto Pup at The Hub. Several venues for fans 21 and over are scattered throughout the course, including the Michelob ULTRA Bar at the 14th hole. Stay Cool and Comfortable
An August day in Memphis can be hot, so comfort is key. Wear lightweight clothing and, most importantly, comfortable walking shoes. Sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses are non-negotiable. You can bring an empty reusable water bottle (up to 32 oz) to fill at complimentary hydration stations located around the course. For a break from the heat, look for the misting fans or pop into the air-conditioned public venue on the 18th fairway. Know the Spectator Rules
To ensure a great experience for everyone, there are a few rules to follow. Bags must be clear and no larger than 12"x6"x12" or a small opaque clutch no larger than 6"x6". Set your phone to silent and only take photos in designated areas. On-course autographs are not permitted; players will only sign at the designated Autograph Zone near the practice green. Finally, remember the tournament's motto: "See something, say something." If you notice anything suspicious, alert a uniformed officer or tournament official.
