Vijay Deverakonda is among the few stars who achieved significant success in South cinema without any familial ties to the industry. From his initial breakthrough
in Arjun Reddy to his latest performance in Kingdom, his career has been a journey filled with ups and downs. However, what distinguishes Vijay is his capacity to remain humble regardless of the circumstances. In an exclusive interview with Zoom, the actor discussed how he navigates the complexities of fame, setbacks, and everything in between. Reflecting on his experiences thus far, Vijay remarked, "I don’t dwell on the peaks or valleys, and I remind myself that both triumph and defeat are temporary. I concentrate on my craft, the people who are important to me, and on enjoying life beyond the film industry." The Dear Comrade star also mentioned how his friendships from childhood play a crucial role in keeping him authentic. "My childhood friends especially help me stay grounded; they know me beyond my work and the recognition. With them, I’m simply myself - and that’s what keeps me genuine." How does Vijay Deverakonda relax?
Naturally, acting comes with its own set of challenges. Extended hours on set, continuous promotions, and the constant attention surrounding his films can be overwhelming. For Vijay, taking time to relax is not merely a luxury but a necessity. "I prefer to slow down and just relax. Spending time with my friends, playing volleyball, or simply lounging at home helps me recharge."
Vijay also finds solace in his relationship with his pet. "I enjoy spending time with Storm, my Husky - throwing a ball, having fun, or just hanging out together. Those simple moments allow me to rejuvenate."
Through it all, Vijay Deverakonda continues to demonstrate that his achievements are not solely based on talent or charisma but also on his outlook. Coming up next, he will appear in a period drama set in the Ralayaseema region, directed by Rahul Sankrityan.
