Karan Johar shares his enthusiasm
Karan Johar, the producer of the series, shared, "Do You Wanna Partner is bold, lively, and unapologetically entertaining - a narrative that reflects the determination, spirit, and drive of a new wave of entrepreneurs, particularly women making strides in non-traditional fields. It’s eccentric, heartfelt, and deeply rooted in the Indian ethos of jugaad. Partnering with Prime Video has consistently been a creatively rewarding journey for everyone at Dharmatic Entertainment. Together, we’ve delivered daring, modern stories that resonate across borders. We take pride in the vibrant, chaotic universe we’ve created, and even more in the message it conveys. I’m excited that this narrative, originating from a very local concept, is now poised to captivate audiences worldwide.”
About the series
In this whimsical comedy-drama, two daring best friends, Shikha and Anahita (portrayed by Tamannaah Bhatia and Diana Penty), embark on a journey to establish their own craft beer brand. Set against the lively backdrop of urban life, their tale delves into themes of friendship, ambition, defying norms, and achieving success through hard work, passion, and 'a whole lot of jugaad.'
