Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are preparing for significant releases in 2026. While SRK took a break from the cinema in 2025, Bhaijaan experienced a lackluster
year with Sikander, which did not succeed at the box office. He is now poised to star in Apoorva Lakhia’s war film, Battle of Galwan. In the meantime, King Khan is focused on his ambitious venture King. This film marks his first collaboration with his daughter Suhana Khan, who made her entry into the industry with The Archies. Once celebrated for their box office dominance and record-breaking ticket sales, the Khans now face a pressing question: will they regain their status with these forthcoming projects? Only time will reveal the answer, but for now, let's examine their lineup for 2026! King Is Coming! Following the mixed reviews of Suhana Khan’s debut series The Archies, Shah Rukh Khan reportedly intervened to secure a spectacular big-screen debut for his daughter. For this ambitious endeavor, he has partnered with director Siddharth Anand. The film also stars Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, and Abhishek Bachchan, with Arshad Warsi, Raghav Juyal, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Abhay Verma in supporting roles within the action drama. It is said that the film draws inspiration from the classic 1994 French thriller Léon: The Professional. Recent reports suggest that the movie may be released in two installments. A source informed Bollywood Hungama, "Both King and Love And War are large-scale productions and have exceeded initial budget estimates. As Dhurandhar has set a precedent, both SRK and Bhansali are individually considering dividing their epics into two parts and launching them within a span of less than six months." An official announcement regarding the release date is still pending. It has been reported that King Khan has multiple unconfirmed projects in the works, including a film from Pushpa-famed Sukumar. If confirmed, this film is anticipated to aim for a 2027 release. Battle Of Galwan Loading! Salman's Battle of Galwan is emerging as one of the most ambitious war dramas currently in development. Based on the real-life confrontation between Indian and Chinese forces in the Galwan Valley, the film promises a powerful depiction of bravery, sacrifice, and military resolve. With a strong emphasis on gripping action scenes and emotional resonance, the project seeks to pay tribute to the valor of Indian soldiers while portraying the high-altitude tensions of this historic clash. As excitement grows, Battle of Galwan is being closely monitored as a potential resurgence for Salman, who has been experiencing a lull in his career. The film is helmed by Apoorva Lakhia, known for works like Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai (2010), Mission Istanbul: Darr Ke Aagey Jeet Hai! (2008), among others. Its teaser was recently released by the creators, further heightening anticipation among fans. Also featuring Chitrangda Singh, the film is scheduled to hit theaters on April 17, 2026. In addition to this, Bhaijaan has several other projects lined up. Earlier, during a conversation with Zoom, he mentioned, "I am working on a film titled Bull. Then, there’s Dabangg (4), Kick (2), Sooraj Barjatya's... I have 3 to 4 films." However, none of these projects have officially commenced production yet.
