• Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 hits ₹20 crore in global advance bookings
• Tamil Nadu leads domestic sales with ₹1.63 crore from Chennai alone
• Film releases on 15 Oct following strong early ticket demand

The highly anticipated action thriller Jailer 2, starring Rajinikanth, has demonstrated strong early momentum at the box office. Within just 24 hours of opening,

the film’s global advance bookings have surged past the ₹20 crore mark. With four days remaining until its scheduled release on October 15, the rapid pace of ticket sales suggests significant audience interest in the upcoming project. Advance booking windows for the film opened in India on October 10, following a staggered rollout that began in select international territories a day earlier. Despite the phased opening, which included a delayed start in Kerala on October 11, the film has quickly established a strong financial footprint in the pre-release market.

Breakdown of Global and Domestic Pre-Sales

International markets have played a pivotal role in the film's early success, contributing nearly $2 million to the total pre-sales figure. Domestically, the film has grossed over ₹4 crore in India, with the majority of those sales attributed to opening day screenings. Tamil Nadu remains the primary driver of domestic demand, accounting for approximately 90% of the national pre-sales, with Chennai alone contributing ₹1.63 crore.

Industry analysts expect these figures to climb further as booking windows expand to include the Malayalam and Hindi-dubbed versions of the film across all regions. While Rajinikanth’s films traditionally maintain a strong regional base, the inclusion of a diverse cast from various industries has fueled speculation regarding the film's broader reach.
