Dhurandhar RECAP In the aftermath of the 1999 IC-814 Kandahar hijacking and the 2001 Parliament attack, India’s Intelligence Director Ajay Sanyal (portrayed by R Madhavan) orchestrates a covert operation. His objective is to infiltrate Pakistan’s most perilous terrorist factions and extract intelligence from within. For this perilous mission, he selects a young man from Punjab who has everything to gain. Under the banner of Mission Dhurandhar, Ranveer Singh’s character adopts the persona of Hamza Mazari and integrates himself into the Baloch gang. Hamza executes his strategy to eliminate Lyari’s Sher-e-Baloch, Rehman Dakait, with assistance from Sanjay Dutt’s SP Aslam Chaudhry. To maintain the confidentiality of their arrangement, he feigns deep sorrow over Rehman’s demise in front of Uzair Baloch, Rehman’s cousin, who is poised to seize control of Karachi.
