Kriti Sanon discusses her role in Tere Ishk Mein
In a conversation with Zoom, Kriti, who portrays Mukti in Tere Ishk Mein, responded to the label of her character being ‘toxic’. She remarked, “Terms like 'toxic' and 'red flag' have become quite prevalent nowadays. It's wonderful that these topics are being talked about. Discussion is an essential aspect of it. Ultimately, many people feel that both sides have valid points at times. Your moral compass doesn’t point solely to one individual, which is positive because humans are fallible. If your intentions are not malicious and you made a mistake, there’s often a reason behind your actions. It’s all about perspective.”
She continued, “She is shattered in her own reality. Someone as compassionate as her, who feels deeply and cares immensely – just think of the burden of guilt that person would carry. If they believe they have unintentionally ruined someone’s life and contributed to their death, the weight of that guilt is immense.”
Tere Ishk Mein narrates the journey of Flight Lieutenant Shankar Gurukka and Mukti Beniwal. After enduring a troubled past, they come together again when he seeks counseling. Their circumstances have transformed, yet their love endures. The film also features Prakash Raj, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Priyanshu Painyuli, Paramvir Singh Cheema, Chittaranjan Tripathy, Jaya Bhattacharya, Vineet Kumar Singh, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Sushil Dahiya, and Maahir Mohiuddin.
