In a video shared on his YouTube channel, Khanna remarked, "I want to commend the film's lead, Ranveer Singh. You might question me since I have previously opposed him for the Shaktimaan role. Nonetheless, despite my reservations, he is undoubtedly one of the finest actors. I have consistently held this view. His vibrant energy and bravery shine through in the film."
He further stated, "If you cast him as Shaktimaan, audiences might enjoy it because he has a way of making you want to dance, but the character requires someone with more maturity."
There had been speculation regarding Ranveer Singh taking on the Shaktimaan role. In response, Mukesh Khanna previously mentioned, "Ranveer visited my office and spent three hours with me. It was a wonderful meeting; he is a great actor and a remarkable person. He was so eager that he tried to convince me for three hours. Ultimately, I have always believed that he is not suitable for the Shaktimaan character. I remain firm on that opinion."
