What is the story about?
Director Sundar C has officially come together with Vishal and Tamannaah for his upcoming film, named Purushan. This was revealed through a first-look
teaser that quickly gained popularity on social media. True to Sundar C’s signature style, the film seems to combine humor, heartfelt moments, and thrilling action sequences. Vishal takes on the lead role, while Hip Hop Tamizha Adhi is back to create the soundtrack. Tamannaah plays the role of Vishal’s spouse, with Yogi Babu in a significant supporting role.
Vishal's Purushan: First Teaser Of Sundar C's Film Promises Action and Fun
Named Purushan, the film’s teaser provides a sneak peek into a comedic yet action-filled entertainer. Vishal is portrayed as a gentle and soft-spoken husband to Tamannaah’s character. Yogi Babu features as a famous television actor who comes to their home and delivers his well-known line, “It’s not just about being a husband; you must strive to be the husband of the year.” At first, he expresses sympathy for Tamannaah for having such a meek partner.
However, the story takes an intriguing twist when a gang of criminals breaks into the house and assaults Vishal in the kitchen, all while his wife remains oblivious. While Tamannaah believes her husband is busy making tea, Yogi Babu observes Vishal’s remarkable change as he single-handedly takes down the attackers. This juxtaposition between Vishal’s public demeanor and his concealed capacity for violence sets the stage for a quintessential Sundar C commercial entertainer brimming with humor and action.

Purushan continues a long-standing partnership among the core team. Vishal, Sundar C, and Hip Hop Tamizha have previously collaborated on Aambala (2015) and Action (2019). This film marks the fourth collaboration between Vishal and Sundar C, and the fifth between Vishal and the composer. For Hip Hop Tamizha and Sundar C, Purushan follows Mookuthi Amman 2, making it their seventh project together. Tamannaah and Vishal have previously worked together in Sundar C's Action, and the actress has also collaborated with the director on Aranmanai 4.
