Rajkummar Rao recently shared insights about his experience in Bollywood, noting that entering the industry as an outsider has been beneficial for him.
While many individuals from non-filmy backgrounds often discuss the challenges they face, the Stree 2 star believes it has made his journey uniquely rewarding. He elaborated that the absence of predetermined expectations allowed him the liberty to carve out his own path. I take great pride in my journey and wouldn’t exchange it for anything. It has certainly helped me remain humble,” Rajkummar shared with Hindustan Times. Throughout the years, Rao has established a career characterized by a wide range of roles and critical recognition. The Maalik actor feels that this absence of pressure has enabled him to take on various characters. He expressed that he has always aspired to delve into a broad spectrum of narratives and personas, from serious to comedic, as it allows him to uncover new facets of himself and keeps his work both thrilling and authentic. Work Front Rajkummar was recently featured in Maalik, which premiered last month. The film also included performances by Medha Shankar, Manushi Chillar, Prosenjit Chatterjee, Huma Qureshi, and Saurabh Shukla in significant roles. Directed by Pulkit, the movie received favorable reviews but did not make a substantial impact at the box office. Prior to this, he appeared in Bhool Chuk Maaf alongside Wamiqa Gabbi. The actor has yet to reveal details about his upcoming film. According to reports, he has an unnamed project with renowned director Shoojit Sircar in the works. Rao is also expected to team up with Aditya Nimbalkar, though official confirmation is still pending. On a personal note, the actor is preparing to welcome fatherhood soon.
