Sunny Deol will soon be featured in Border 2 and has recently completed filming for it. Border 2 serves as a follow-up to the classic war movie. According
to reports, the initial teaser is prepared and will be released shortly. The film is expected to premiere on Republic Day, 2026. The cast also features Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, and Medha Rana.
All about the Border 2 teaser release
As stated by Bollywood Hungama, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has given the green light to a promotional video titled Date Announcement Teaser No. 1 – Border 2 on August 7. The teaser has a duration of 1 minute and 10 seconds and has received a U/A 16+ rating.
The timing of this approval is particularly noteworthy. It comes just ahead of India’s Independence Day, strongly suggesting that the teaser will be revealed on August 15, as indicated by the news outlet. A source shared with Bollywood Hungama, “Border 2 is a film that embodies patriotism, and what better occasion than August 15 to launch its teaser? The teaser will provide a sneak peek into the film and its India vs Pakistan theme. Additionally, it will confirm that the film is on track for release on January 23, 2026, coinciding with the Republic Day celebrations.”
Once the teaser is released, it is expected to be distributed to cinemas across the country. Multiplexes are likely to showcase it during screenings of War 2, featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, which is among the most anticipated releases of the month.
The film is produced by the renowned director J.P. Dutta and will be helmed by Anurag Singh, celebrated for successful films like Kesari and Punjab 1984.
