What is the story about?
With Kiara Advani’s initial look poster, the creators of Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups have initiated the countdown to the forthcoming teaser. The actress
makes her debut in Kannada cinema with this project. She portrays the character of Nadia, sharing the screen with Yash. In anticipation of the teaser on January 8, reports have suggested that her character originates from the realm of Cirque Du Soleil. The first look also features Kiara positioned at the center of the stage, adorned in a black gown with a thigh-high slit. The initial preview of Toxic will disclose additional insights into each character. This will mark Kiara’s second film following the arrival of her daughter, Saraayah Malhotra.

According to sources, the producers of Toxic brought in international artists for a Cirque du Soleil-inspired performance to collaborate closely with Kiara, crafting and rehearsing a segment designed to create a ‘visual experience that has never been witnessed in Indian cinema, aiming for a global standard and providing a cinematic journey.’ The source further mentioned, “Kiara’s character is described as fearless, raw, and captivating, merging elegance, power, and intensity, which enhances her presence on screen in the film.”
What is Cirque du Soleil?
Cirque du Soleil is a renowned contemporary circus organization from Canada, celebrated for transforming the conventional circus. Established in 1984 in Quebec by street performers, it represents a unique style of circus that incorporates human performance, narrative, dance, costumes, and stage design. Rather than focusing on individual acts, Cirque du Soleil emphasizes a theatrical and immersive experience, blending elements of circus, ballet, opera, and fantasy.

Toxic has been shot concurrently in English and Kannada, with plans for dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and various other languages. Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, Toxic is set to hit theaters on March 19. The film also features Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, Akshay Oberoi, and Sudev Nair.
