Shah Rukh Khan's King has the release date been confirmed? According to recent reports, the film, produced by Siddharth Anand, is scheduled to premiere
in December this year, targeting a Christmas launch. It was also mentioned that the film initially considered December 4, but that date coincided with the release of Ramayana: Part 1, making Christmas a more suitable option. While an official announcement is still pending, it is expected to be made in the upcoming weeks. The screenplay reportedly includes contributions from Sujoy Ghosh (story), Siddharth Anand, Suresh Nair, and Sagar Pandya, with dialogues crafted by Abbas Tyrewala.
SRK's King aims for Christmas 2026 release
According to Bollywood Hungama, King is set for a Christmas release on December 25, 2026, following a significant gap after the debut of Ramayana Part 1. A source close to the news outlet stated, "SRK and Sid were considering various release dates, with December 4 and December 25 being the primary contenders. After careful consideration, they have decided on a Christmas 2026 release for their action-packed film."
Additionally, it was noted that the film has secured a substantial 45-day interval between Ramayana and King, "providing both films the space they need to thrive."

King represents SRK’s second collaboration with director Siddharth Anand, who helmed his successful comeback film Pathaan. The cast also features Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Raghav Juyal, Arshad Warsi, and Abhay Verma. Furthermore, SRK's daughter Suhana Khan is anticipated to make her Bollywood debut with this action film, which is reportedly inspired by the French action-thriller Léon: The Professional (1994).
For those who may not know, SRK's last major theatrical release was Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki, which hit theaters in 2023. Since then, fans have been eagerly awaiting his next project to grace the big screen.
