In a conversation with talk-show host Gopinath, he mentioned that Ajith Kumar's enthusiasm for racing motivates him, stating, "I have watched numerous videos of Ajith sir on the racing circuits, though it's not a sport I actively follow. Nevertheless, he has been a significant source of inspiration for me. He has always had a passion for racing. I recall the times he participated in F3 and F4. It seems like he has traveled the globe on his bike. I admire that he is currently chasing his passion," he remarked.
Kaantha represents Dulquer Salmaan's return to Tamil cinema following 2022's Hey Sinamika. The film is co-produced by Rana Daggubati and Dulquer Salmaan under their respective banners, Spirit Media and Wayfarer Films.
