“Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” featuring Tom Holland and Zendaya, is making waves at the box office, setting new records and surpassing previous Marvel film
benchmarks. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, the film has quickly become a phenomenon, breaking multiple box office records in India before the conclusion of its opening weekend. Notably, it has outperformed not only Holland’s earlier entries in the Spider-Man franchise but has also eclipsed the monumental earnings of “Avengers: Endgame,” a film previously considered untouchable in terms of box office success. In just four days, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” has grossed over Rs 250 crore, according to Sacnilk. This latest installment follows the journey of Peter Parker after the events of Doctor Strange’s spell, which caused the world to forget his identity. The film has attracted a massive audience eager to see how the story unfolds, marking it as the most successful entry in Tom Holland's superhero saga, which includes “Spider-Man: Homecoming” (2017), “Spider-Man: Far From Home” (2019), and “Spider-Man: No Way Home” (2021). To put the film's success into perspective, the opening day collections of Holland's previous films were significantly lower. “Spider-Man: Homecoming” earned Rs 6.75 crore, while “Spider-Man: Far From Home” brought in Rs 10.05 crore. In contrast, “Avengers: Endgame” debuted with Rs 52 crore, and “Spider-Man: No Way Home” collected Rs 32 crore. “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” shattered these records with an impressive Rs 60.60 crore on its first day, according to Sacnilk. On its second day, the film continued to perform well, crossing the Rs 100 crore mark with a collection of Rs 49.35 crore. While many films typically see a drop in earnings on their second day, “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” maintained its momentum. The third day saw a resurgence, with the film earning Rs 66.75 crore, further solidifying its status as a box office juggernaut. “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” was released in India on July 30, 2026, and in the United States on July 31, 2026. The film features a talented cast, including Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, and Sadie Sink. As of August 2, 2026, the film has reportedly earned Rs 41.13 crore in India, with expectations for continued growth as audiences flock to theaters. The film's emotional depth and thrilling narrative have resonated with viewers, ensuring its place in cinematic history.
