According to trade site Sacnilk, by 11 AM on August 13, Coolie had sold 12,46,828 tickets across India, amassing a gross of Rs 27.01 crore. The film has surpassed 10 lakh ticket sales in Tamil, with Rs 1 lakh in Telugu alone. It garnered Rs 11.97 crore in Tamil Nadu, Rs 1.46 crore in Andhra Pradesh, Rs 1.69 crore in Telangana, and Rs 6.85 crore in Karnataka.
Reports suggest that Coolie has already achieved ticket sales worth Rs 50 crore in India for its opening weekend. The international pre-sales indicate a gross collection of Rs 60 crore over the weekend, with Rs 45 crore earned on the opening day alone. The highly anticipated film has already surpassed Rs 110 crore for the opening weekend, including Rs 80 crore on its first day.
Coolie has set a new benchmark in the US, becoming the first Tamil film to exceed 2 million dollars in advance ticket sales. It’s worth noting that Lokesh Kanagaraj's earlier film, Leo, featuring Vijay, earned Rs 142.70 crore globally and holds the record for the highest opening for a Tamil film in the US.
