Lakshya reflects on Karan Johar’s guidance
During a chat with Raj Shamani, Lakshya expressed, “Karan sir often tells me, the thing I appreciate most about you is that you are completely desi and where you hail from is evident in your character. Stay true to yourself; don’t attempt to change, that’s your unique strength and your protection. This was the most impactful advice I received from him.”
(Translation: “You’re entirely desi, and your origins are visible in your character. Be authentic; don’t strive to be someone else. That’s your power and your defense.”)

Lakshya reminisces about his first encounter with Karan Johar
Lakshya warmly remembered his first interaction with Karan Johar, stating, “I was anxious, really anxious. He was incredibly courteous, inquired about the types of films I enjoy, and conversed with me in Hindi, likely because he realized I’m from Delhi. At that time, I struggled to express myself; I was frightened and lacked confidence. Whatever little I managed to say in English, I quickly switched to Hindi. He appreciated that I spoke Hindi; I think no one else around him did! I was astonished at how someone could be so down-to-earth and approachable. I expected some arrogance, that he might ask me to sit elsewhere, but he treated me like a friend.”
Lakshya shares Karan Johar’s praise after The Ba***ds Of Bollywood
He continued, “He reached out to me after The Ba***ds Of Bollywood, and he was very emotional. He said, ‘I’m so proud of you, son. Now people are calling me and telling me that I feel like a father. I feel like mera beta ne class top kiya hai (my son has topped the class).’”
