Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor has voiced her strong disapproval regarding the horrific murder of Dipu Chandra Das in Bangladesh. On Thursday, (December
25, 2025), the Gunjan Saxena actress shared an extensive message to denounce what she termed as savage and profoundly inhumane acts of violence. In her message, Janhvi called on individuals to confront the harsh reality of public lynching and communal animosity instead of turning a blind eye out of convenience or apathy. She emphasized that these occurrences are not mere isolated events and challenged the silence and double standards of those who do not express outrage or seek accountability. Broadening her appeal beyond national borders, the actress pointed out how people frequently show indignation over tragedies far away while neglecting the pain within their own neighborhoods. Janhvi urged for a denunciation of communal bias and extremism in all its forms, regardless of whether one is a victim or an aggressor. Highlighting the importance of awareness and education, she motivated individuals to see through false divisions and arm themselves with knowledge.
Janhvi Kapoor condemns Dipu Chandra Das' lynching in Bangladesh
She began her message by mentioning Dipu Chandra Das, stating, "What is occurring in Bangladesh is barbaric. It is slaughter, and it is not an isolated event. If you are unaware of his cruel public lynching, educate yourself, watch the footage, and ask the necessary questions. And if, despite all this, you feel no anger, then it is precisely this kind of hypocrisy that will lead to our downfall before we realize it."She continued, "We will keep lamenting about issues halfway around the world while our own brothers and sisters are being burned alive. Communal bias and extremism in any and all forms, whether we are the victims or the aggressors, must be called out and condemned before we lose our humanity. We are mere pawns who think we exist on either side of an invisible divide. Acknowledge this. And arm yourself with knowledge so you can advocate for the innocent lives that are perpetually lost and terrorized in this communal conflict."
