During the launch event for his son Aryan Khan’s directorial debut, titled The Ba***ds Of Bollywood, Shah Rukh discussed his injury, stating, “Injury choti nahi thodi si badi thi, ek do mahina lagega recover me lekin national award ke liye mera ek haath hi kaafi hai (The surgery was not minor, it was somewhat significant. Recovery will take 1-2 months. But one hand is sufficient to secure the national award).”

According to reports, King may be delayed until 2027 due to Shah Rukh’s injury. Originally planned for a spectacular release in October 2026, the producers were targeting the Gandhi Jayanti weekend. However, the injury has affected the filming schedule. A source close to the production informed Mid-Day, “King’s crew has paused the shoot. Shah Rukh requires several weeks of rest before he can return to the set. Given that it is an action-oriented film, the team is cautious about his health.”
King boasts an impressive ensemble cast. Alongside Shah Rukh are Jaideep Ahlawat, Saurabh Shukla, Jackie Shroff, Abhishek Bachchan, Abhay Verma, Raghav Juyal, and Suhana Khan. Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, and Anil Kapoor have reportedly been approached for special appearances.
