Thalapathy Vijay's fort, which is Tamil Nadu's neighbouring state Kerala, will see a change in the usual FDFS on the film Jana Nayagan's is set to premiere
on January 9. The actor's movies, which typically debut at 4 am, will experience a change in schedule, as the film's distributors have revealed a revised plan. Initially, it was announced that the filmmakers had received approval to showcase the first screening in the early hours. However, a recent update from the producers indicated that Jana Nayagan's inaugural show in Kerala has been called off.
Jana Nayagan's Initial Screening In Kerala Will Not Take Place At 4 am
SSR Entertainments, the distributor, issued a statement confirming that instead of the anticipated 4 am screening in Kerala, Jana Nayagan will now debut at 6 am. The statement noted, “We have exerted every effort to hold the first show of Jana Nayagan in Kerala at 4.00 AM. Initially, the producer's team had secured permission for the 4.00 AM screening. However, due to the current circumstances and certain issues arising in Tamil Nadu, the 4.00 AM show could not be sanctioned.” The statement further added, “Consequently, the first show of Jana Nayakan in Kerala will commence at 6.00 AM. We sincerely apologize to all Kerala Thalapathy fans for any inconvenience this may cause. We firmly believe that the 6.00 AM show on January 9 will receive enthusiastic support and become a grand success thanks to the fans."
The statement was titled, “With respect and appreciation for Kerala Thalapathy fans. The first show of Jananayakan will be at 6:00 AM. Let’s celebrate together.”
With the cancellation of the 4 am screenings,Jana Nayagan will have its premiere in Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will host screenings at 6 am, while Vijay's home state of Tamil Nadu will start at 9 am on January 9. The production team explained that the adjustment in timing was essential as permission for the early morning screening could not be obtained due to issues that initially arose in Tamil Nadu.
Jana Nayagan, directed by H Vinoth, features Vijay in his final film role before fully transitioning into politics. The cast also includes Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj, and Bobby Deol. Vijay, who established the political party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), has confirmed that this will be his last film.
