Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2 is set to debut during the festive weekend of Gudi Padwa/Ugadi and Eid 2026. Following the tremendous success of the Aditya
Dhar directorial, anticipation is high for its sequel. The director has reportedly begun crafting the final cuts for the teaser and trailer. The narrative progresses with fresh villains, obstacles, and intense drama. As the two-month countdown commences, a news article disclosed that the Dhurandhar 2 teaser will be linked to the forthcoming war drama, Border 2. The Indo-Pak conflict film is set to hit theaters on January 23. The trailer for the espionage thriller is expected to be completed by the end of February.
Dhurandhar 2 teaser
A source familiar with Dhurandhar 2 indicated that the teaser will showcase new footage, ensuring there is no postponement for its planned March 19 release. “The goal is to reinforce the release date in the minds of moviegoers. Dhurandhar 2 is confirmed for an Eid 2026 launch, and the teaser will reaffirm the date with some fresh visuals,” the source stated.
“Both Dhurandhar 2 and Border 2 are films with a nationalistic theme, and the team at Jio Studios aims to leverage the momentum of patriotic cinema. The new teaser cut from the end-credits of the first part will also be released digitally, following its premiere on the big screen. For newcomers, it will be exclusive to theaters,” the source confirmed.
Ram Gopal Varma's shoutout
With excitement building for Dhurandhar 2, Ram Gopal Varma expressed his support for the creators and posted on X, “Dhurandhar 2 is poised to be the largest multi-starrer in cinematic history, as every character from the first film has become immensely significant in the audience's perception, both in terms of their worth and influence, which is the essence of true stardom. In the first installment, characters may have been minor or major, but now all of them have transformed into colossal superstars, making #Dhurandhar2 the BIGGEST MULTI STARRER ever.”
Dhurandhar 2 will also feature R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Rakesh Bedi, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun. The film will compete with Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups and Dacoit.
