on being compared to Hrithik Roshan. Rather than feeling honored, the actor expressed his discomfort regarding the comparison with the Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai star. Nakuul articulated his reasons during our conversation, explaining why he feels uneasy about such comparisons. The television star also mentioned that he wouldn’t want Hrithik to be aware of him or the comparison, as he perceives the actor as ‘untouchable’. Additionally, Nakuul Mehta praised Ranbir Kapoor, referring to him as a ‘monster’ performer.
Nakuul Mehta Discusses Comparison With Hrithik Roshan
In a frank discussion with us, Nakuul Mehta remarked that Hrithik Roshan is a ‘Greek god’ and feels uncomfortable being compared to him. For those who may not know, many online users see resemblances between Nakuul and Hrithik regarding their appearance, eyes, and style.
Responding to this, the Bade Achhe Lagte Hain actor stated, “I used to feel awkward about it, because that man (Hrithik Roshan) is a Greek god. There is no comparison. I just wish this interview wouldn’t reach him or appear on his feed. It’s genuinely very embarrassing for anyone who communicates like that. As you progress in your career, things evolve. Ishqbaaaz solidified my position as an actor. I received every Best Actor award while working on that show. That instills a lot of confidence. No one can resemble him. Hrithik is in a league of his own. There is no comparison.”
Mehta also admitted that the Krrish actor is ‘untouchable’ and feels he is too insignificant to be compared to the icon. The actor added, “He is much more experienced. Interestingly, I ended up dubbing for him in Fighter. I provided a voice in English. I also voiced Ranbir for Animal. I don’t sound like Ranbir, but that’s part of my job as an actor. Perhaps there’s some texture similar to Hrithik, but I find it quite embarrassing. I hope it never gets to him. He is an untouchable figure.”
Nakuul Mehta Commends Ranbir Kapoor
Nakuul Mehta has also lent his voice to Ranbir Kapoor in the English version of Animal. The actor praised RK, mentioning that he lost his voice several times while dubbing for the film directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. Reflecting on this experience, the Ishqbaaaz star said, “While dubbing for Animal, I lost my voice multiple times. I grew out my beard just to feel rugged. I tried to immerse myself in the character he portrayed. While dubbing for Ranbir's role in Animal, I realized what an incredible actor he is.”
