The creators of director Mahesh Narayanan's highly anticipated thriller Patriot, starring the leading icons of Malayalam cinema -- Mammootty and Mohanlal,
unveiled the character poster of actress Nayanthara on Sunday, much to the excitement of fans and cinema enthusiasts. The production team shared the poster via the film's official Instagram account, stating, "Introducing #Nayantara in #Patriot. Dissent is patriotic. In a world filled with traitors, be a Patriot!!"

Notably, the film's poster included a segment of morse code. Fans quickly decoded it, claiming it indicated "April 23rd release." While there has been no formal confirmation regarding the film's release date, industry insiders have suggested that it is expected to premiere on April 23 this year.
It is worth mentioning that on January 4 of this year, the film's producers announced the completion of the shooting. They posted, "That’s a wrap. Blood, sweat, belief. #PATRIOT marches on. See you on the big screen." They also released a behind-the-scenes video featuring all the stars on set to commemorate the occasion. The film, which has generated significant anticipation since its announcement, also stars renowned actors Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, and Revathy alongside the two Malayalam legends.

The teaser hints at a program named Periscope, with Kunchacko Boban playing a character named Daniel.
Nayanthara is heard inquiring, "This program, which is part of the student laptop initiative. Is it akin to Periscope?" Another voice questions, "Is this program surveilling them covertly?" The teaser concludes with Mammootty prompting someone to finish the phrase, "Great Indian traitor... or Patriot."
