The actor has two major projects set for release this year, and according to recent reports, he may have secured a significant opportunity! Kartik is in advanced talks with Kill (2024) director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat for a unique action-adventure film inspired by Indian mythology. Should this project come to fruition, it will represent a departure from Kartik's previous roles.
Kartik Aaryan collaborates with Kill director
As per a report from Bollywood Hungama, Kartik Aaryan has received a 'unique film' proposal from Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, the director behind Kill. This venture is described as an action-adventure film that draws from Indian mythology. The source quoted by the portal stated, "Kartik is thrilled about this project as the theme is commercial, innovative, and has the potential to appeal to both elite and general audiences. Additionally, Kartik appreciated Nikhil’s work on Kill and believes he is a director to keep an eye on."
The partnership may materialize sooner than anticipated, as Kartik Aaryan and Nikhil Nagesh Bhat are already deep into discussions. Regarding the film's producer, the same report mentions, "Both the actor and the director are also negotiating with a prominent studio to come on board for production and financing. Discussions on this front have also progressed significantly."
If confirmed, this project could signify a notable change for Kartik, as mythology has recently seen a resurgence in popularity among Indian viewers.
Kartik Aaryan's upcoming projects
In the meantime, Kartik is preparing for two significant releases scheduled for 2026. One of these is Naagzilla, in which he portrays a shape-shifting nag. The film is helmed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, known for Fukrey, and is produced by Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films. His other project is an unnamed musical epic directed by Anurag Basu, produced by T-Series, featuring Sreeleela as his co-star. This film is anticipated to premiere in the latter half of 2026.
