Expressing her enthusiasm for the second season, Kubbra remarked, “This is my very first experience with a season 2. I’ve never had the opportunity to revisit a character and then reconnect with them two years later while collaborating with an entirely new team. It was truly captivating for me.”
She also shared insights about her character Sana, who was enigmatic in the initial season. “Sana is quite secretive and has a lot of hidden depths, right? There’s not much you learn about her in season one. However, in the second season, you will witness her becoming more self-assured as a friend. She discovers that in Noyonika. For her to open up and establish a friendship is a significant change. The second season gives you the chance to uncover more dimensions and humanity in the character, as you become more invested in these individuals, and I was certainly invested in Sana. She’s a really remarkable person. She has her challenges, which is pretty great.”
Kubbra also had high praise for Kajol, who portrays Noyonika. She stated, “Working with Kajol was simply amazing because, as I mentioned, Sana finds a friend, and Kajol is someone you can easily connect with. It’s not difficult at all. She’s genuinely enjoyable to be around, and she’s a strong, confident woman. I had a great time collaborating with her.”
The series is set to debut on JioHotstar on September 19.
