Sushant Singh Rajput's beginnings in Patna
Sushant Singh Rajput was born on January 21, 1986, in Maldiha, located in the Patna district of Bihar. He was the sole son among four sisters. During his childhood, he was known by his birth name, Gulshan, which he used in school. Being the youngest sibling, he received abundant love and attention. Sadly, his mother passed away in 2002, prompting the family to move to Delhi. Sushant consistently excelled academically. He achieved the seventh position in the All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) and began his studies in mechanical engineering. However, over time, his passion shifted towards acting. He became a member of Shiamak Davar’s dance troupe and engaged in theatre workshops. After relocating to Mumbai, he worked as a background dancer and theatre performer, taking on minor roles that refined his skills.

He honed his craft at Barry John’s Acting Workshop and gradually made his way into television. His initial breakthrough came with the series Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil, but it was Pavitra Rishta that brought him significant acclaim, endearing him to audiences across India.

Sushant made his film debut with Kai Po Che!, followed by memorable roles in Sonchiriya, Shuddh Desi Romance, PK, Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!, and MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.
