Dhanush's D54, helmed by Vignesh Raja, recognized for the 2023 mystery thriller Por Thozhil, has been generating excitement since its announcement. Recently,
the film's producer, Vels Film International, took to X on Wednesday to urge fans not to circulate behind-the-scenes footage from the film's production.
D54: Leaked Footage from Dhanush's 54 Disturbs Producers
In a social media post, Vels Films International stated, "We kindly ask our "D"ear supporters to assist us by refraining from sharing any footage from the sets of #D54. Your support is invaluable!" The film is being produced by Ishari Ganesh under the banner.
Earlier this month, the producers announced that filming has wrapped up and they aim to release the movie in February of the following year. The film, currently referred to as D54, includes Alfred Prakash as the co-writer. The producers officially disclosed information about the project earlier this year, after much speculation regarding Dhanush and Vignesh Raja's inaugural collaboration. At that time, they released a poster showcasing Dhanush's character amidst a blazing field, with the tagline, "Sometimes staying dangerous is the only way to stay alive."
Later, to celebrate Dhanush's birthday, a fresh image of the actor from the film was revealed, depicting him inside a phone booth attempting to make a call. This suggested that the film is set in a historical context.
The cast also includes Mamitha Baiju, Jayaram, and Suraj Venjaramoodu. Additionally, it features Karunas, KS Ravikumar, Prithvi Pandiarajan, Kushmitha, and Nitin Sathyaa, among others. On the technical side, the film boasts composer GV Prakash, cinematographer Theni Eswar, and editor Sreejith Sarang. Vignesh Raja made his directorial debut with the well-received film Por Thozhil, featuring actors Sarathkumar and Ashok Selvan in leading roles.
