Amitabh Bachchan marked his 84th birthday on Sunday by continuing a cherished tradition, stepping out of his Juhu residence, Jalsa, to greet the large
crowd of admirers gathered to celebrate the occasion. The veteran actor appeared on an elevated platform outside his home, waving to the assembled fans as many in the crowd captured the moment on their mobile devices. The actor was dressed in a dark maroon kurta, complemented by a detailed brown-based Kashmiri Kani pashmina shawl. Security personnel were present on the platform, which was decorated with a large red floral garland, as the actor acknowledged the supporters who had arrived with placards and outfits inspired by his iconic film roles. This year, the birthday celebration coincided with his regular Sunday darshan, a weekly ritual where he meets his followers.
Reflections on a Milestone
Earlier in the day, the actor took to his personal blog to express gratitude for the affection he received. He noted the warmth and surprises shared by those around him, describing the experience as a thoughtful start to his birthday. In his writing, he reflected on the quiet moments following the festivities, noting that solitude allowed him to process his thoughts and cherish the day's events.Addressing his followers, whom he refers to as his extended family or Ef, the actor also offered an apology for not being able to meet them at the Jalsa gate during the late hours of the previous night. He had previously informed them that he would make up for the delay by meeting them later in the day during his scheduled Sunday appearance.
