Ahead of the debut of War 2 and Coolie, Hrithik Roshan extended his heartfelt wishes to the iconic actor, referring to Rajinikanth as 'a source of inspiration
and a benchmark'. The movies are poised for a direct showdown at the box office. On X, Hrithik reminisced about sharing the screen with Rajinikanth in Bhagwaan Dada (1986) as a young actor, describing him as ‘one of my earliest mentors'. Hrithik Roshan praises his first co-star Rajinikanth on reaching 50 years
His tweet stated, “I took my initial steps as an actor alongside you. You were among my first mentors, @rajinikanth sir, and you remain a source of inspiration and a benchmark. Congratulations on achieving 50 years of cinematic brilliance!”

Reflecting on his time working with Rajinikanth, Hrithik previously mentioned at the launch of The Roshans that he didn’t fully grasp the significance of collaborating with the legend at such a young age.
He remarked, “I used to converse with him saying 'yes uncle, no, yes.' I had my own way of interacting with him. If I were to work with him today, I would approach it very differently. I would understand the gravity and significance of sharing the screen with him, my goodness.”
Hrithik continued, “He was incredibly kind. Whenever I flubbed a shot, Rajini Sir would take the blame, saying, 'sorry sorry it was my fault.' Every time I made an error, Rajinikanth Sir took responsibility so that I, as a child, wouldn’t feel self-conscious.”
About War 2
War 2 is set to be the sixth chapter in YRF's Spy Universe. The film will feature Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR, and Kiara Advani in prominent roles. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, War 2 is produced by Aditya Chopra's Yash Raj Films and is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 14, in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil.
