In announcing the completion of Border 2, Varun stated, “Satnam Sri Wahe Guru. A chapter closes (sic).” Medha replied to his post, “Eagerly anticipating this beautiful journey! You nailed it VD (sic).”

Varun stars opposite Medha in Border 2. The actress posted images from the Punjab filming of the war drama, expressing, “I am profoundly thankful to the Border 2 team for this privilege, and I appreciate your trust in me with something so sacred. Each frame feels like a prayer, and every moment on set is a heartfelt tribute to those who sacrifice everything for our fearless existence.”
On July 26, Diljit Dosanjh completed his filming. Varun shared a clip from the set, stating, “Diljit paaji's shoot has concluded, and the sweets have been distributed… the taste of friendship is truly unique! Thank you, paaji; I will miss you and the team. Border2.”
About Border 2
Border 2 also features Sunny Deol and Ahan Shetty in significant roles. It serves as the sequel to J.P. Dutta’s legendary 1997 film. Production began earlier this year.
