Actor Dhanush has officially disclosed the name of his eagerly awaited upcoming project, formerly referred to as D54, during the festive celebration of Pongal.
The film has been named Kara, and the announcement coincided with the unveiling of a captivating new poster that features Dhanush in a powerful persona. Helmed by Vignesh Raja and produced by Ishari K Ganesh under the Vels Film International label, the film has already sparked significant excitement for its gritty narrative and impressive cast. With the title announcement, the creators have provided viewers a sneak peek into what is expected to be a gripping emotional suspense thriller.

The production company Vels Film International took to X to announce the news, stating, “#D54 is #கர. #HappyPongal. Directed by @vigneshraja89. Produced by @IshariKGanesh. A @gvprakash musical.” Alongside the title, the team revealed a poster showcasing Dhanush in a fierce and intense demeanor. The poster features the tagline, “Sometimes, staying dangerous is the only way to stay alive,” suggesting the high-stakes environment in which the film unfolds.
Director Vignesh Raja also expressed his enthusiasm, characterizing Kara as 'a suspense thriller deeply rooted in emotion.' He confirmed that the film is set for a summer release, heightening the excitement surrounding the project. The poster also displays Netflix's logo, indicating that the film will be available for streaming on the platform following its theatrical run.
