Kangana Ranaut is well-known for her candid opinions on culture, tradition, and gender relations, and her recent comments regarding marriage are no different.
Renowned for her forthright stance on societal matters, the Queen and Manikarnika actress has frequently participated in dialogues about the interplay between contemporary values and age-old customs. This time, she has taken a resolute position in support of marriage, asserting that it is a tradition crafted to favor women and has played a significant role for centuries.
Kangana Ranaut labels marriage as 'beneficial for women'
In a conversation with Hauterrfly, Kangana expressed her views on why she thinks marriage was established to support women and why it continues to hold significance in the modern era. "Humare sanskar hote hain, prathayein hoti hain, wo sab woman-friendly hain (We have customs and traditions, and all of them are favorable to women)," she remarked, emphasizing that cultural practices, in her opinion, are intended to safeguard women's rights. "Chaahe aap aajkal ke woman ko modern world kitna bhi brainwash kare, ye sab woman-friendly hain. Hum zyada isko bolenge to men will get alerted."
(Regardless of how much the contemporary world attempts to influence today's women. If we discuss it excessively, men will take notice; these are all favorable to women.)

Kangana asserts marriage was created to encourage male commitment
Expanding on the roots of marriage, Kangana stated, "Logon ne dekha hoga ki men are hunters, they can impregnate any woman, then run away. Ek hi baby hai existence me jisko saalo saal tak paalna padta hai. Human baby is like a patient."
(People must have observed that men are hunters; they can impregnate any woman and then abandon her. A human baby is the only one that requires years of nurturing. A human baby is akin to a patient.)
Furthermore, she described marriage as a positive institution by saying, "Ye jo pratha bani hai ki Father ke saamne kiss kare ya qubool hai bole, it is essentially a vow, a commitment, jo poore duniya ko bula ke uss purush se karayi jaa rahi hai. It is woman-friendly. It is a good thing, marriage is very important.”
(This custom of kissing in front of the Father or saying ‘I accept’ is fundamentally a vow, a commitment that is being made to that man in front of the entire world. It is favorable to women. It is a positive thing; marriage is extremely significant.)
Her remarks reflect her conviction that marriage was historically established to provide security and support for women and children.
