Terry Crews, widely recognized for his role in the hit series Brooklyn Nine-Nine, recently visited India, where he expressed his admiration for the nation’s
rich culture. In a recent interview, the actor lauded Indian celebrities, cuisine, and landmarks, sharing his eagerness to return and describing India as an 'exotic and stunning' locale. He also listed some Indian dishes he sampled and shared his views on Bollywood, recognizing Shah Rukh Khan as a global icon. Earlier this year, Crews had posted a video of his encounter with Dhurandhar star Ranveer Singh.
Terry Crews hails Shah Rukh Khan as an international icon
In a conversation with The ETimes, Terry Crews remarked, "I have always wanted to explore India. It’s such an exotic and stunning destination. I tasted some paneer dishes. I frequently enjoy Indian cuisine like dal and garlic naan in LA. We love it. Unfortunately, I couldn’t venture too far due to the brief nature of my visit. People worldwide crave what India offers because it truly fulfills a need in numerous ways. I’m a huge admirer of music and dance. In fact, I consider myself a dancer first. When you observe the culture and how they’ve integrated grand musical performances into films, it’s something you rarely see in America. It happens once in a blue moon, like a Wicked. Watching these major stars perform to incredible music makes me nostalgic. It takes me back to the golden age of Hollywood."
Additionally, he shared heartfelt sentiments about King Khan, stating, "I would love to dance like the stars in Bollywood. I want to highlight how Shah Rukh Khan has emerged as a super international icon. I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting him yet, but I’m eager for that moment. To me, he exemplifies Tom Cruise-level Indian talent that has captured the globe. His brand and name are akin to those of Cristiano Ronaldo. It’s monumental."
When Terry Crews encountered Ranveer Singh
